Shoreline Center for Eating Disorder Treatment and Public Health Foundation Enterprise Sign Agreement to Create Charitable Fund for Eating Disorder Tr
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 5, 2007 -- Treating people with eating disorders can be a matter of life or death and for those without sufficient health insurance, obtaining necessary treatment can spell financial ruin. Shoreline Center for Eating Disorder Treatment (Shoreline Center) of Long Beach, CA is proud to announce an agreement with Public Health Foundation Enterprises (PHFE).
Under the partnership, PHFE will act as fiscal sponsor, allowing Shoreline Center to seek funding from private foundations, grants and individual donors all in its effort to provide eating disorder treatment to those who are unable to afford it. As a California nonprofit corporation 501C (3), PHFE will receive grants or deductible donations from institutions or private individuals on behalf of Shoreline's Scholarship Program as well as ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and grant conditions.
Shoreline Center for Eating Disorder Treatment offers individual counseling, an intensive outpatient treatment program, partial hospitalization / day treatment program as well as Satori House, a transitional living / extended care home for those in recovery from anorexia nervosa, and bulimia nervosa. Shoreline and PHFE see this as an excellent opportunity to collaborate, utilizing the clinical strengths of Shoreline in combination with PHFE's nonprofit organizational and management expertise. Working together, Shoreline and PHFE hope to improve access to eating disorder treatment for those unable to afford appropriate care.
